"...The time I have spent here has shown me that I can do anything I put my mind to...I have gained so much confidence...I will always remember my time here."
- Young person
"Our charitable foundation knew nothing of social farming until meeting up with Stephen and Farm Buddies, since which time we have been very happy to have sponsored farm visits for three young people. The farms in this scheme are very impressive. They are safe and happy places where the participants seem to fit in very quickly and enjoy the benefits of working with animals. The increase in confidence was very noticeable and encouraging. Stephen is able to select the right farms with first class people there to help the youngsters."

The Direct Link to Farms in the South East for Young and Older People with Different Abilities and Needs
Farming activities are being used nationwide to improve the wellbeing of young and older people. This service is known as 'Social Farming' or 'Care Farming' and has Central Government support.
Why choose Social Farming?
Full engagement, increased feelings of self-worth, motivation and confidence, improved work and social skills, lower levels of challenging behaviour, knowledge of farming, food and the countryside significantly expanded.
